Dear oldpax, we mostly get photos from searching the net, post them to a photo host site, such as "...photobucket.com" or "...imageshack.org" and then post them on the forum. That is how one participates in this thread. The winner is supposed to post a photo challenge within 24-hrs of notification of a correct identification.

German? and if so Dornier?

MReyn24050 8th Jul 2011 09:10

It certainly is a Dornier.

Noyade 8th Jul 2011 10:01

Dornier Do 19...?

MReyn24050 8th Jul 2011 13:07

Not the Dornier Do19 Graeme.

SincoTC 8th Jul 2011 17:20

Good evening Mel,

That looks like a Dornier Do-23G to me ??

Open House if correct please, as I'm just on a short break before returning to work!

MReyn24050 8th Jul 2011 20:31

That is one Trevor, the Dornier Do-23G:-

My only previous picture regrettably coincided with a magazine feature on the aircraft in question, so I hope this one doesn't...

Morning aerobelly,

If you edit your post above and add image placeholders around you posted URL like this your image will appear and make it easier for viewers

Looks like a good challenge, but I have no idea at present and have to go now :ok:

evansb 10th Jul 2011 17:37

Flight Design CTLS ?

aerobelly 11th Jul 2011 07:49

Evansb has it.

It's actually a CTSW, but the main difference is the wings and the cockpits are (AFAIK) identical.

Over to you.....

sycamore 12th Jul 2011 16:04

Would this be a twin engined piston powered Russian ? and has the port side fuselge panel been removed ?

evansb 12th Jul 2011 17:41

It is two-engined, but it is not Russian. Only 6 were built. It does appear some side-panels have been removed.

Noyade 13th Jul 2011 12:14

G'day Bri. Is that a left shoe of a maintenance worker in overalls right of photo? He looks healthy...maybe American or British?

evansb 13th Jul 2011 16:19

Not American or British. The aircraft first flew after V-E day.

MReyn24050 13th Jul 2011 18:38

Wild guess the Arsenal VB.10?

evansb 13th Jul 2011 22:47

Good guess Mel:ok: Spot on. Your control.
