Thank you Brian. That really was a big aeroplane, or are those Frenchmen all very short.
Here is the next one. I should say right from the start that this is the cockpit of a projected aircraft.

Kurt Tank influence again..?

Kurt Tank influence again..?

cockpit of a projected aircraft.
Adding these two together....Ta-183?

MReyn24050 14th Jul 2011 11:21

Graeme.
Sorry for the delay. This project was German, however not the Ta-183 but it was a forerunner of the Ta-183 project. I am not certain if Kurt Tank had anything to do with the design.

.............?

Project VII Flitzer

MReyn24050 14th Jul 2011 12:32

That is the one:-
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...PViFlitzer.jpg

The Focke Wulf Project Flitzer.

By the autumn of 1944 the development of P. VII and sub-assemblies were completed, the first prototype was ready for flight. But the German Reich Aviation Ministry considered that the projected speed of the aircraft would not meet their requirements also the cost in materials and construction was too expensive. As it was considered that insufficient time and money was available to introduce modifications Focke-Wulf had no other choice but to cancel the project.

You have control Graeme.

Thanks Mel. Sycamore gave me the idea.
Couldn't find this on your list mate but it is a version of sorts of one that is so I not sure if there were many cockpit changes. I'm interested to find out what the bloke at bottom right is doing. Sick or some sort of radar-scope?

evansb 16th Jul 2011 05:35

sycamore 16th Jul 2011 09:43

Chineee..?

Noyade 16th Jul 2011 11:27

I'm not a cockpit guy but the arched frame looks exceedingly bigger than the front console? I mean it looks almost claustrophobic, very boxed in?

MReyn24050 16th Jul 2011 15:14

Nanchang Q-5 perhaps.
Mel

evansb 16th Jul 2011 18:17
