Is that Kermit the Frog? :)

RegDep 23rd Jul 2011 10:36

Funny that you ask. I was looking at Kermit Weeks' stuff in Polk Fantasy of Flight…..

HappyPass 23rd Jul 2011 10:42

But this looks more like two abreast...
Experimental, carbon fiber lining, (a fuel cap in the cockpit?), an odd-looking plate on the right (canopy mount?), one throttle and the hint of a prop in the front.
And a puppet. :)

Edit: also from the type of noise I think the image has been taken from a video

RegDep 23rd Jul 2011 10:50

The canopy opens swinging to the right. Wouldn't that be awkward for a two abreast?

HappyPass 23rd Jul 2011 10:53

I agree, but if you look at the rudder pedals (and the mass of junk and wires on the right: I don't think you're supposed to put a right leg there...) it looks like it's a two abreast...

Ps. I think you should have a crack at the aerodrome, it's gotten well beyond easy now...

RegDep 23rd Jul 2011 10:56

Of course, just wondering the canopy….

MReyn24050 23rd Jul 2011 12:50

It is two seats side by side and the canopy does hinge to the right.

sycamore 23rd Jul 2011 21:00

Looks like it`s piston powered and possibly a tail-wheely..?

MReyn24050 23rd Jul 2011 22:29

It is a piston engine aircraft and a tail dragger.

Noyade 23rd Jul 2011 22:33

G'day/evening mate!

Military aircraft Mel?

Would by identifying the high-wing airliner in the background help solve this?

MReyn24050 23rd Jul 2011 23:43

Hi Graeme
This one is not military and I do not think the identity of the aircraft in the background will help.
Your man Cadel Evans was brilliant today and well and truly deserves the yellow jersey.
Mel

Noyade 24th Jul 2011 11:29

Yes mate. His success is making big news here. Already bicycle sales are on the rise. :).

Your aircraft Mel, many built?
