Is the word 'Beechcraft' on the AH a clue?

Onan the Clumsy 7th Oct 2005 12:15

No, yes and no.

Perhaps "easy" is the wrong word and I should have said "far from exotic" or perhaps fairly common airframe.

btw, the AH was a rebuilt as the old one used to show a permanent 70 degrees of bank :}

treadigraph 7th Oct 2005 12:47

It may be easy for you but I can't even see it - thank you IT Services! By the time I shamble home from le Chien et He-Vache, no doubt it will have been solv-ed!

Woomera 7th Oct 2005 13:38

95 Kts, 6.700 AGL (check the second ALT!!), HDG 061, 2,400 RPM - I suppose you want to know where that Cessna 140 is also headed?

Well spotted and that explains why the mags are on :8

Look again...it couldn't possibly be a 140

;)

...though you may well have the manufacturer correct :ok:

CoodaShooda 8th Oct 2005 02:36

Cessna 180? 1960's vintage

Onan the Clumsy 8th Oct 2005 03:01

Very very close.

It's a Cessna with a controllable prop and having two altimeters AND being ragged out is a big clue.

Ok it's a straight tailed 1959 C-182 jumpers for the use of.

BEagle 8th Oct 2005 12:23

Vickers VC10

Ebeihy?

RJM 8th Oct 2005 13:27

Gruntie re pic sizing - someone put me onto http://tinypic.com/
(I hope I can mention them here - tinypic is a free site)
Anything oversize is automatically sized down to 250Kb, as long as the pic starts at a reasonable size - for example if I had a multi Mb image I would use Photoshop or Graphic Converter or whatever to resize it down a bit for a start, then let tinypic do any tidying up.

I haven't a clue what the aircraft is btw, other than it is either a gateguard or was parked very close to those trees. :D

gruntie 8th Oct 2005 13:27

Well done that man, 'tis indeed A40-AB, ex-G-ASIX of BUA. The FO I'll let you off!

BEagle 8th Oct 2005 13:54
