You are indeed miles out. 4045 miles out to be precise. (I'm assuming that the old airfield was where the current one is)
However there is a curious coincidence in the respective designers names - a homonym.

No, I said "equally" so I didn't specify though looking at hives of activity might prove fruitful.There's a clue in that too...and you already have one very specific one re location.
It was a one-off and the company that made it went bust following fraudulent funding activities. It flew well, there is extensive footage of it on YouTube.

I assumed that, hence my pehaps rather more appropriate response .Or maybe you haven't got it after all...because I don't see a sandwich in this (and its a bit of a stretch even to include kebab)
