Not a Gourdou-Leseurre product Terry, although it has a similar layout to the GL.81, this is a slightly bigger machine with a closed cabin...

The French manufacturer is way down the alphabetical list.

According to AviaFrance that is the Villiers 26 which never got off the ground/water.

Looked at this briefly last night Mel. Fascinating - absolutely no idea mate.
And with each new unknown my first objective is to try and uncover the nationality behind it.

I want it to be British.
But, there is a USA sort of look to it as well?
And I hope it's not from South America.

You do not have to worry Graeme. This aircraft was not designed and built in South America or North America come to that. It is from Europe but not the UK.

Graeme. Go a bit east, only the prototype built. First flew late 1940s.
