Heikkis' Silhouette Challenge
nascence
Interesting. Built but not flown - I thought that would be a very rare thing these days? And it looks like a substantial machine - a tandem piston engine trainer?
From a country outside of the USA?
And did this manufacturer have success with other aircraft designs?
(objection your honor - badgering the challenger!)

[clears throat; stands; faces Bench]
It might help the understanding of the court if I were to interject, with your Honour's permission, and say that it would not be true to say that this aircraft was built but not flown.
[sits]
Let me guess, His Honour Judge Noyade reaches for the black cap any time now!

...and for completeness:
...is partially true but not completely true
...is true
Yes it did.
Further research on the subject aircraft this evening has made things less, not more, clear!

You sound like an unreliable witness!
Trying to think outside the circle here. Are you possibly suggesting it's pilotless? Not flown buy a pilot inside it? A drone/UAV thingy?

No to all the above.
I remember a lovely crossword clue in a comedy programme on the TV here. One character was an absolute demon at crossword puzzles, but failed miserably at one clue which his colleagues all got first time. It got right under his skin.
His problem was, he kept looking but not seeing.
This was the clue:
GEGS (9,4)
...and with that in mind, I say again:

Gonna make another coffee and ponder this. The witness can step down...

Are we looking at an up and coming Asian country?

Not missing something, exactly...
No, not Asia... The country of origin is listed by the IMF as an emerging economy but other groups of analysts disagree.

Up early rather than still awake... But only to investigate why the security lights went on outside.
I'm afraid it's not the Epsilon.
This aircraft has not flown.

Well done!
Spot on on both counts. It's the IA73, which now looks as though it will proceed as the UNASUR 1 with collaboration of several South America states.
You have control!

Thanks Brian.
No need to be sorry, I don't think it matters anymore mate.
This was gonna be a What Aerodrome contestant, but Google Image kept finding it so I applied the old 'photograph the monitor' technique to beat it. A little blurry and in the end I thought it wasn't very 'airporty' but the aircraft is interesting, so here we go...
