There do seem to be a lot of variations to the engines/cowlings, but it is the Lublin R-XIII

I did save it but haven't given it a look since you withdrew it!
Is it powered, it has a fairly high AR, but I'm suspicious of the protrusion on the belly profile?

Time for a quick look before the kitchen calls!
Not going to get far on that mate (me, not the aircraft that is )
How many engines, where mounted and what type?
Built and flown, or a project and what was its role?
Powered.........

Built & flown - target drone.
Move the wings back a few feet and I would have said Bell X-1

Thanks Graeme
This one has appeared before, but not this version, which in side view like this is very different as 'm sure you'll agree.
I'm off to bed soon, but I you could get it before I close down, if not, let "usual Rules" apply

Of course it does, it is the Tomashyevich Pegas (Aircraft 04)
I knew it was a lost cause with you about, but it was all I had ready
Looks like it ran into a wall, needs a new nose now

Evening Graeme,
Just looking in while having my lunch break, been nobody about this morning!
A quick stab at your "simple one", is that a Hawker Typhoon firing off a pair of rockets?
Edit:
Lunch break over now and back to work, no lights on and I think that Graeme has gone to bed now (see Challenge thread).
Busy afternoon ahead here, so I will request Open House if judged correct

Evening LM ,
Been an awful quiet day today, no sign of Martin or Ken, I've seen Mel and Bri's lights on when I looked in at breaks and of course Graeme posted at lunchtime, but I've had too much on today to put anything up before that.
Thanks for the vote of confidence! Obviously, we're not going to get any judgement from Graeme for several hours yet, but I'm sure he'd be happy for the thread to move on even if it turns out to be wrong! After all, he didn't throw his toys out of the pram over the cocpit cock-up the other day!!
I'm not going to post anything right now, as I'm off home shortly and when I tried to look in when I got up this morning, my home Internet was down again after more overnight rain!! Apparently, there's an underground culvert near the local exchange that keeps flooding and shorting everything out. It's only the fourth time they've "fixed" it and the last time it was off for several days, so I don't know if it'll be back up yet, but I'll check in again later if it is! So if you want to take the OH, please feel free, I expect Canada/USA and Oz will be back on later and Ken too I hope

Looks like a hit TC- at least that's what I would have said
