Spot on Reg. Yes, its the Gamma 2G (with its original Curtiss Conqueror engine) designed for the 1934 MacRobertson air race.

Brian, the small pieces in the (rocket?) exhaust remind me of the graphite pieces that were used to steer the V-2 rocket. Would this be one of the projects of manned rockets derived from, or developed along with, V-2?

ReDep is correct. The Von Braun Interceptor. Obvious inspiration for the Bell X-1. As he says, it is OPEN HOUSE.

Morning Martin....almost....but you may notice some differences in the rear fuselage and tail. Its modified from the Dornier.
