I'd say it was in a hot climate judging by the number of a/c outlets?

I think it is somewhere in the Gulf. Looks like a Saudi 707 there.

Correct on the Saudi 707 but not in the Gulf or Tripoli but the general trend is in the right direction

For the first time in my memory this thread has slipped to page 2! Maybe little interest so, in order to wrap it up and get on to another post....

The airfield was the international airport for this destination until the military airfield nearby was converted in the 1960s. Nowadays it still gets the likes of DC-3s (occasionally!) but it is too close to the city for much large traffic. It now houses flying schools and the local fire watch operations.
