It looks U.S. military to me, a training base, somewhere on the eastern seaboard, perhaps ?

Giveaway at Mulu

The left hand open room is the Arrival Hall with the welcome sign "Selamat Datang di Mulu". Perfect Bahasa Malaysia!

Thus Google "Mulu" and Presto!

Thank you for allowing me to solve one of your puzzles. I have this thread bookmarked as PPrune and pop in several times a day.

Have we been cheated? THE NORTHAM AIRFIELD

Before it was paved (or sealed, as they say).

As said before, GiggleEarth is not always your best friend.

I would have put an arrow pointing to the hangar roof but I thought I'd keep it subtle

Not sure if sisemen's subtle message constitutes a call, but in order to keep things rolling, I'll post the following. If I've got the message or the thread rules wrong, please tell me and I'll retract it:

It does, doesn't it? However, is not. But if your ballpark is about the size of a continent, in the right ballpark.

And thanks sisemen, it was a bit too obvious a clue not to be a red herring, hence my misgivings of being cheated one way or another .
