It is in France, but not Blagnac, or le Bourget. Nor is it Billancourt, but it is quite close to Boulogne-Billancourt.

Not Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole, but quite close. The aerodrome is still in operation. When I said it was quite close to Billancourt, I meant Boulogne-Billancourt.

Sorry, not St. Omer. The mystery aerodrome is in the suburbs of Paris. The original photo was taken in 1927.

one11 is correct. Velizy-Villacoublay. Airfield 107. For a time Morane-Saulnier's private airfield before becoming the Centre d'Essasi du Materiel Aerien (CEMA), France's equivalent of America's NASA. You have control.

British style airship tower as built at Cardington, Ismailia, St Hubert Canada (with enclosed lift shaft) and the one in the picture at Karachi, the only one with a smart building at the base.

Now Karachi Jinnah International

Time to spare, go by air

Hen Ddraig says it all. Airship R.101 was headed here from Cardington when destroyed near Beauvais in 1930.

The skeleton of the accompanying hangar was still around in the 50s as here as backdrop to some PIA DC-3s...........over to you.

Here's an easy one. Seems like only yesterday. In fact it was 16th July 1983, 100º F on the ground and it was bloody hot up there.
