Silhouette challenge
Don't forget mate, so long as there is a white background to begin with, she's good...
You sexist bugger...........................
BTW Graeme, gamma is climb angle of an aeroplane.
The tangent of gamma is the climb gradient expressed as a percentage.
Doesn't the world just love a smartass...................
OK, I'll get me coat and I know where the door is........
Don't mock what you don't understand...
From the very bottom of the Prune page:
*"sciolist"... Noun, archaic. "a person who pretends to be knowledgeable and well informed".

Quiet isn't it?
Well I'm totally stumped. It looked so familiar when I first saw it but I can't find anything to quite match that tail. Even looked at trimotor's just in case the wing engines are hidden from this angle!
Not been through Aerofiles yet, but short of going through every page it would be a difficult one to do a search on. Nothing in Aviastar.
Going to have to leave it to others - will check in again later.

Looks like we're out of sync with each other.
Don't bother with Aerofiles Ken. If you can find a detailed site listing all the aircraft that participated in the Spanish Civil War...it'll be there....

But you gave me an idea
One of the aircraft listed on that website has this picture:
And it quotes it as being the Farman F-190/291.
Decided to take a look at Aviafrance - I think the picture above is wrong as it doesn't match either of the above Farman models!
Is your challenge the F-190?

Your Control. Yes, that site shows a different tail outline.
I would support the Farman F.190 having possibly located the source photo. ( F-AIXL ?)
It is Doug, but Gamma wouldn't help me with that image, so I played with an artists rendition of it.
Cheers.

Thanks Graeme. A good challenge - the wing style should have given it away earlier to me, but I spent more time looking at the tail and wondering whether I was missing something in terms of the number of engines! Anyway got there in the end with a little bit of help.
Here's a simple one for the night shift:
Don't worry mate, we've all been caught out before. The web is only ever as good as the person loading up the info!

However if you look at "What Cockpit?", maybe I have no idea?
