Right, finally have a chance to look into this one. So a European flying boat - possibly post WWII design? Guess maritime patrol as opposed to transport? The shape is familiar but the aircraft I was thinking of is definitely not a flying boat - which makes me wonder - was this built or just a project?

More editing....How's Colditz going? You've got me interested now! A bought the book in an opportunity shop the other day...the Reader's Digest condensed version that is! LOL.

Colditz - last episode tomorrow night I think. Just at the point when the SS are about to escort the prisoners out of the castle!
