Its described as an autogyro, albeit that it has a jet engine.

Not French - see my comments to Graeme.

And in case its not obvious from my future tense:
it was to be
this was a project that did not see the light of day.

Frustrating, as he was on line for 50 mins after I confirmed the id. Still hopefully he'll be back with something.

Check pm's David.

Gentlemen all,

Methinks it's time to amend the posting timing rules.

I am open for PMs.

This is the existing posting Guideline 4:

4. In the event that the person posting the challenge has not responded to a guess or question within 12 hours, or someone who was the winner of the previous challenge has not posted a new challenge within 12 hours (unless they have declared Open House) then the competition will be null and void and it will become Open House.
I suggest that this is amended to 2 hours to avoid boredom, disinterest and general frustration.

I sent Hesham a PM some time ago. So far there has been no response.

Gentlemen,

Thank you for your PMs - I accept your views. However:

Hesham was given control at 1408. Twelve hours elapsed time will be 0208. These times are UTC + 1 hour.

The twelve hours will terminate at 0208 (0108 UTC).

In Egypt this will be around 0308 UTC, at which time I suspect that most people in Egypt will be asleep.

In the interest of continuity I therefore take it upon myself to declare OPEN HOUSE.

Bad luck Hesham - you had adequate time to respond.

Not a challenge

The surgeon has decided that further surgery is too risky, so I shall have to live with it.
Glad they didn't have to slice and dice David...but it still doesn't sound good? I hope things improve for you and it won't restrict life.

I was thinking this morning...could /should we accept partial silhouettes? By partial I mean a significant portion, not bits and pieces. Example...

Anyway, just a thought.

I'll e-mail you in the (your) evening.

A reminder that it is Open House.

You must have been psychic mate - pc has been turned off since yesterday evening. I only logged on at 1242!!

I am out this afternoon. Happy to put one up if there are no takers, but I won't be able to check on progress until later this afternoon.

Graeme, from my own point of view I would prefer not. I just feel once you go that route the portions will inevitably get smaller as everyone tries to outdo each other.

Not me mate - it's my computer. It sometimes won't let me log off, shows green lights when people are not around, and that includes my own.

Throw something up please - it's like the Marie Celeste at the moment.

Great - a challenge at last.

I have been feeling that maybe I killed the thread by admonishing a certain recalcitrant player on the forum.

Sorry about that guys, but I'll do it again if I have to.

There are several ways to educate people..........................

This challenge will be easier when I work out where the pilot sat!
