That was my basis for Potez but not sure if it would be the full explanation why they look the way they do. It has in some pictures a funny pitot, though, that looks pretty much the way it should.

I wonder what's on TV in NSW
I could probably add Liore-Olivier 45 series to the list of suspects, but wont withdraw my pet-Potez.
Mel,
Didn't that have retractable gear which failed and necessitated a wheels-up landing?
I think there were no gear doors but the fairings on the front of the legs formed the lower surface of the rear nacelle when retracted.

Afternoon all,
Hectic morning, just dropping in for quick look before going home for the weekend. Nice Challenge from Graeme, not going to be too easy I fear!
Don't forget that he also said that it was an Attack/Reconnaissance, aircraft.
Didn't the Zmaj have retractable u/c and an over/under cannon in the nose?
I do think that it also needs to have considerable dihedral to the tailplane as RegDep surmised earlier and don't forget it was braced!

Anybody said Letov S-50 yet?
letov S50
Das Virtuelle Luftfahrtmuseum - Letov S 50
Would make it Czechoslovakian, at the time I think Moravian, which would now be Slovakian...
And here is your picture, too: A.F.M. Letov S-50
Can I go now?
