It's the Vedo Villi of 1911.
After that last clue I can't claim much credit though, it just happened to coincide with my coffee break.
That thread did occur to me , but I didn't check it out as I knew that Graeme had posted to it and he seemed non-plussed too.
Open House when LM confirms please, as I'm back to work now. 'Twas a good Challenge though!

Well Done Bradenav!
Its a shame the 'Lotus Microlight' was stillborn (largely due to the death of Colin Chapman), I particularly liked the flat twin fourstroke engine with the prop driven from the camshaft; an instant 2:1 reduction drive.
Over to you.

Evening Mel,
I think it's the French SAB AB.20 Bomber, er no, make that the AB.22 Fighter-Interceptor, armed with the 75mm cannon, a re-build of the original A.20?
Open House please if correct, as I'm offline in fifteen minutes.
One source I just found, said that sideways firing 75mm cannons were added, but these seriously damaged its own wings after afew test rounds were fired and the project was abandoned!

Thanks Mel,
I defer to your judgement on the designation of course, but have you noticed that the upper picture you just posted has a different arrangement of windows behind the nose cupola? According to the Russian site I found with both the photos, that's the AB 20 and the identical photo to your challenge is shown after being re-built as the AB.22
I'm off now, so to confirm it's Open House. Have fun !!
