It looks like the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver underside view in Jane's 1945 ,don't it ?

The Helldiver had inward retracting u/c. The Avenger retracted backwards!

I'm not sure that we are looking at a gull wing mate! I'm guessing not a Corsair! Still, I'm struggling!

Thanks Mel. Don't really know why, but I convinced myself it was a post-war British aircraft and damned if I could find one with wheels retracting toward the outer wing.
