Silhouette challenge
I see. A stab in the dark here, as I was not able to find pictures of this one; what about the B.A.C. VIII twin-seater glider seaplane? Canīt be THAT many sea-going gliders around...

RR, do I detect a "cunning ploy" here (but very good one); check it out first with Google, and if you draw a blank, THEN use it as a challenge! no wonder you've been hard to crack lately
German? Jachtmann?

A good idea but actually I have been working the other way around. From my reasonable knowledge I have an idea of what might work, I find an image, and then sometimes I research it! The truth is that I the Saturn Cub was my own photo and chose it for that reason and I found the Oeffag H on a completely different site!
Good luck and, no, not the DFS 320 (dazdaz... what are you on?) and not Jachtmann

Back to the Brokaw Bullet
Sorry to interrupt the thread, but does the Brokaw Bullet really have the thrust line offset so far to starboard? Or are my eyes finally packing up?

Yes, Spook, the Gribovsky G-12, from the same designer as the more well-known G-11 military transport glider. Well done.
Wings level, you have control............

PS: I haven't sen you on this thread before so welcome if you are new to it!

OBAman,
This was not a precursor to the Tornado (wrong O.R. number).
It was designed to replace an aeroplane already in service.
You are very close, and methinks you'll get it now.

A Tornado variant was proposed for the Navy. Is it that? Or the BAC 583 that was to replace the Sea Vixen? RR
I think it is the latter!

You've done it again RR.
The Vickers (BAC) Type 583 from 1963.
A Naval requirement for AW406 from Operational Requirement 346 as a
replacement for the Sea Vixen for fleet defence. Designed for Mach 2.5.
The aeroplane's in trim, you have control.
