I know that. It's the Blohm & Voss Ramjet Mistel.

G'day Noyade, and sorry you were 13 minutes beaten to it sablatnic.

It is indeed the Blohm & Voss BVP111 Manually Controlled Rocket Projectile "Mistel 3".

Now, I have flown myself to Mach 2 on numerous occasions, but you wouldn't catch me in this very silly piece of kit!!!!!

Nice bit of navigating Mate!

Hands on throttles & stick - you have control.

BVP111
Thanks LM. I couldn't find a designation for it, just a bunch of long winded names. Now tell me, is it really humanly possible for the body to experience 20G, even for an instant?

Apart from dying, my other fear would be, will the "release" part of the plan fail?

Good evening Noyade.

"Now tell me, is it really humanly possible for the body to experience 20G, even for an instant?"

In the prone position it might be feasible, since in this position there is no hydrostatic blood pressure difference between head and feet.

However, there could be enormous pressure exerted on the ribcage and abdomen. At the time they obviously thought it possible, but I have my doubts. I have experienced +18G during ejection, but for less than a second, and was fully conscious throughout (although a clean pair of underpants was subsequently required).

LM

Noyade Thank you for the info on the BJ-520.
I will today donate my PC to the local Steam Museum and will then source one which will enable me to post 3-views.

Open House please
