What a ridiculous piece of cra... History of Aviation!

Reg, lo and behold my last kill in the WA thread!
I'm starting to starting to entertain the idea that I can do passably well in all three threads...

Sorry I'm late guys - forced to go out.

The challenge was American, but nothing as so far suggested.

It is a bipe as someone asked.

You're lying, it's too slender...
Harley-Davidson engine?
Well, I'm hitting the sack.
I won't be online until late afternoon tomorrow, and it's a pity because I'm itching to know...
Nite all.

Morning LM,

Wow, one with a picture on Aerofiles!! You're making it too easy mate!!

Suspected a Curtiss OX engine and found the Lenert B of 1929

Have to be Open House though, as not sure what time I'll get free today!

Morning Reg....is that a twin nosewheel I see?

Turboprop trainer...? Or turboprop conversion of something?

Morning Skytrain!

Nose wheel is single, as far as can tell from the small original.

Lycoming O-320

Edit: Not a trainer. Not a modification as far as I know. The father used to do some modifications, though.

Tried to add this earlier, but the PPRuNe server crashed on me.

Yes, the server is definitely playing up this morning!

I guess the perspective made me think the engine was much bigger than it obviously is! Is this a homebuild?

Martin, can you show us the Pitt Yellow Jacket without the black paint? Odd looking cockpit?
As promised, Graeme:

Skytrain, it is an one-off.

LM, …and not a Lancair and not a Nexaer.

It looks like a racer to me! Is it?

I am not sure about it being a racer. The only picture I found in net relates to a wooden model, but it looks like a real aircraft to me. At least it was registered.

And the engine is rather big relative to the rest of the aircraft, hence the "bulbous" nose.
