Meindl/van Nes A-VII (M7), floatplane version (never built)
Meindl/van Nes A-VII (M7)
Note to Mel:
There has already been a Meindl A-VII in the SC thread, but it was the landplane version (I noticed while googling for additional background info on the model), so I think this is a legitimate challenge and the difference should be noted in The List.
Apologies if I state the obvious and thanks for your great job in maintaining such a huge reference

Well, Mel's current list reaches 1 April 2011 (see my statistics post) and the landplane version was posted 2 April 2011. I had a vague memory of the distinctive tail, but did not find it from Mel's list, so posted it. And you are right - I was confident that the floatplane had not appeared….
All yours HP!

Interesting thoughts. Well there is no French involvement. There is British however, but nothing to do with the tail. It's not Russian but there a soviet connection. 2 out 3 - not bad!

Well, the train of thoughts would have continued by postulating that the British part would have been the engine, as it seems the most logical thing.
I would fain have delved deeper into this one, but I think I'm just going to collapse into bed now.
Best regards, and see you tomorrow.

Congrats on 7000 David!
G'day Ken!
This looks similar to that Latvian or Lithuanian aircraft we had a month or so ago? Can't remember the name. Any connection?

Morning Graeme....well its not Lithuanian or Latvian. Not on Mel's list. I'll have a quick look back through the posts - after the duplicates today you've got me worried!
G'day Stig! Didn't see you arrive.
Probably no connection Ken, but it was a rather ugly thing with spatted wheels of 1938? vintage. Aero - Avia something something....

G'day Graeme,
Good memory cells mate (I think) I posted an Estonian challenge on April 20th Page 1225 (three weeks after Mel's last update) and Ton got it after a bit of a chase.

Graeme - I stand corrected. Another duplicate - it was posted on 20 April. Its the Aviotehse PN-3 from Estonia (thought I'd found a really good one there!). After all the recent duplicates can't believe I've gone and done one myself. So nul and void - Open House everyone.
