Thanks mate,

It'll have to be another Open House for the connection reason, plus I'm off to bed as I've got a 5am start and its past midnight now. I see Brian's light is still on so perhaps he can keep you entertained.

seeings as its the sixteenth in the UK now, I'll take this opportunity to wish Lightning Mate a very Happy Birthday , you never know, he may be lurking in the sun !! Oh dear, 64 now too

Goodnight gentlemen, have a good day Graeme

All I can think of is the Ikarus Kurir...which it isn't. But maybe a proposed variant?

Project?

Not from Ikarus. Two examples were built. One source says only one example, a prototype, was produced. This was the last model of aircraft produced by the firm.

Caudron C.880
Interesting aircraft Bri. I wouldn't have picked it for French.

New...

Graeme was this aircraft pictured in an Italian series of 2, 3, 5, and 10 lira postage stamps in 1934?

Have you seen the "Which Aerodrome?" challenge from Siseman? The roofs look typical red Australian tiles (Sydney is full of them) and the trees Eucalyptus...maybe.

Life is fine with me, given the circumstances where my in-laws are visiting us and I need to sneak in at 0200 hrs local time to my computer….

I was thinking of Savoia Machetti S.71

And the only place I have flown from to LAX is Auckland….

Well, it was a "counterpart" and the silhouettes aren't the best, so it's all yours

Thanks Graeme.

Must take a look what to do, because will not be able to monitor before local morning. Momentito.

Looked at the aerodrome. Can we deduct anything from the shadow? E.g. where is the taxiway relative to the runway? Probably not, except that it cannot be a Noon flight close to the Equator……

Here are the stamps, BTW, not that I'd be a philatelist, but these came up when I tried to find if 71 was ever been built with faired wheels. Katalog Italien
