....and there was I thinking how many cantilever trycycle cabin biplanes there are around!

So is it a home/kit built jobber with experimental status?

edit - just seen your answer.

I also think it may be filed under experimental homebuilt.
My Lionheart reference says that it is (was?) the only homebuilt with negative stagger.

Well, it certainly ain't the Lionheart Reg, and it appears that it is not a homebuilt either.

We must be looking at a production aeroplane.

It's wrong! There are other negative stagger homebuilts, although as previously advised, this is not classified as a homebuilt.

Blimey - that's lot more stagger than I would have thought!

Perhaps this thing should be classified as a tandem-wing and not biplane.

Happy Pass....well done. It is the Ganzavia GAK-22 Dino from Hungary. Deisgned as a multipurpose utility aircraft, only 2 were built. At least one of those is still in existance in a museum in Budapest.

You have control Happy Pass.

...and that makes five confirmed kills!

I must admit that it didn't occur to me to search for a _"tandem wing" tricycle "negative stagger"_ (and that brought up the desired picture) until I saw LM's post... he most definitely shares the merit...

Now I must now go and eat the pork I've been cooking the whole morning , so that'll probably mean Open House...

It is actually described as a biplane. Must admit when you came up with the Durand V I was expecting it to go very quickly! Enjoy your lunch

Kinda interesting: A Giggle search with string 'negative stagger cantilever biplane' doesn't seem to bring Ganzavia Dino - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, even if all those words are in the text. At least not up-front, which you would expect (I did use this string and got just dry trawl).

I have found the same once in a while. Somehow Giggle does not index all Wikipedia very well....

As to the OH, I think a pork (at least well cooked) should not take too long for us to wait. Just had home (self) made potato salad, Wiener Wurst, and a glass of basic Riesling, and am content to wait until HappyPass is back.
