Sinco, just notice your comment...
Much prefer WWI biplanes myself!! Only joking!! Wish I'd paid more attention to the undercarriage and tail...now I've looked at pictures of the DA40 I can see the obvious differences!
Yours looks like skytrain territory to me!

Hi skytrain,
Well, it seems like you did get it pretty quickly doesn't it! I've been offline for a while re-locating (doing dog/housesitting this week).
I see you're back in Luxemburg again, does the radio still fade out in the evenings? (you may be just too young to know what I'm talking about )
I had a go in a Diamond Twin-Star last year, glass cockpit, proper joystick, very slippery airframe and a diesel to boot. Very impressive, especially SFC.
Have a good trip home!

TwinStar...a friend of mine has a 50% share in one...keep trying to get a lift back to Wales in it! One day maybe.

Looks like you were correct Mel.
Looked at Latvians, because some of them looked much like this, as well as some Russians from the same time, but missed this alltogether. My source on Latvians said the the Cukurs C.6 had 135 hp de Havilland Gipsy and the Cukurs C.6bis was a two-seat dive-bomber (280 hp Hispano Suiza, granted). But it were not the clues that kept me from finding it . Just missed it. Good pictures in the net, too. Good challenge!
