OBAman's challenge
Try again OBAman. This is the PA-35 Pocono which we have had twice already see Post #s 42 and 1296. It is in the list shown under the "Sticky" What cockpit and what Aerodrome above.

Kharhov KhAI-1 slihouette
Noyade, you asked -
No, the drawing (shown below) came from one of the Russian websites and this was the drawing from which Lightning Mate produced the silhouette.
Was the line drawing/silhouette transformation from Gunston's Russian Aircraft? Reason I ask is I noticed a number of important details seem to be lost in the process.

Sorry guys, here's another go which, unless I've mis-read the list (thanks for that) hasn't been on here yet. Its rather crudely converted by myself, if abnyone can tell me a better way I'd appreciate it.

Next Challenge.
Thanks OBAman that was a great challenge. I know the T.H.K.5A had tail fin and rudders that were located as end plates to the elevator and thought there was a possibility that the fin and rudders of the T.H.K 5 were to the configuration shown in your silhouette.
Here is the next one, which I am sure will cause no problems.

Thanks for the explanation above Mel. To me it seems that some of the 3-view lines from the drawing are lost with the 'blackening' process.
Nicely done OBAman. How did you do that? It would open up a lot more choices if a chump like me could do it.
For some Mel! Is it the Piaggio P.150?

You beat me to it Noyade, I was about to plump for the Valmet Vihuri too, I'm sure thats it.
Do you have a programme like Paint Shop Pro? I tried just colouring in the line drawings at first but it looked awful. I found that it worked better on one I've just done (in case I ever get one right again, lol) where I did a reasonably large res scan (600dpi) then filled in the outside of the drawing in black, rather than the drawing itself, plus details like windows etc and then negativized it and shrank it for posting. It looks ok on the pc, I just need to see how it looks on screen now. Maybe someone knows an easier way?

Thanks Mel.
Unfortunately not OBAman. All I have is Windows Paint. I thought if I scanned a line drawing I could "fill" the desired areas with black paint. No luck. I'm guessing that since it was scanned the lines aren't recognised as computer drawn therefore filling isn't possible? I tried with this but failed...

This is a bit off-thread but I'm sure nobody will resent it...
I'm very interested in turkish aircrafts but sofar I have been unable to find a website with a proper picture of T.H.K.5 (or 5A for that matter).
Can you help me out?

No, not the Bv 222 I think.
Rather the BV FG.227, a quarter scale testbed for the BV.238. The canopy looks too big relative to the rest of it to be anything else?
(not my model)

It can't be the Blohm &Voss BV/222 the engine cowlings are quite different and also the general outlook doesn't tally. I agree with Obaman it must be that scaled model produced by a team of austrian students (I have the same picture as Obaman but now I can't locate it)...

Yes, Flugtechnische Fertigungsgemeinschaft FFG-227, it was worked out by a team of czech (not austrian) students at the Prague university in 1944 driven by six two stroke engines ILO
