Thanks Noyade . Now if the mods would allow a "What is this supposed to be ....." thread then your Armagnac artist would provide a candidate , as would the perpetrator of this "Comet"

But you can't be too hard on them when a real aircraft designer produced this....

Doug is that the Aerocentre N.C. 3020 Belphegor which we had in Mel's Post #2151? Or have I been suckered by a look-a-like?

(Actually I kinda like that Comet. Thanks for posting that.)

oh dear - i checked the list of old postings but not the last few pages......althgough the obsessives might say it was a 3021 as actually built with the coupled Daimler - Benz Engines !!!! I was enthused by having found an obscure B&W silhouette. Back to you then Noyade.............Doug

I have been looking hard also.
If you look at the fin, it is not the same as in post 2151 by Mel, but this recent one looks the same as in photographs.

Ok. I just pulled the designation from an old "Jane's Pocket Book" (12) Research and Experimental Aircraft. It doesn't mention the 3021.

Anyway, here's another...

Next Challenge

Thank you carson1934, I will be honest although your image was only 112 x 200 pixels on my PC I did take a stab at "Maule" as I thought that might be one of the words in the script that accompanied your image. Hence the question mark in my reply.
Here is the next one the silhouette was magically produced for me by Lightning Mate from a three view line drawing.

No need to apologize MReyn next time I'll be more careful.
But tell me you mention "Lightning mate", is there a way to transform line drawings into silhouettes? I'd appreciate a PM on the subject.
BTW your post #2199, is it US made?
Cheers
carson1934

Or maybe Neman KhAI-1 (1932), if it isn't the same?

Mel's Challenge

Sorry carson1934 Noyade has just beaten you to it. It is the Kharkov KhAI-1 which was in fact designed by Neman. Carson1934 please see PM.

Noyade you have control.

Thanks Mel. Was the line drawing/silhouette transformation from Gunston's Russian Aircraft? Reason I ask is I noticed a number of important details seem to be lost in the process, nevertheless it's an impressive process. (I've sent you a PM)

Photo/silhouette.
