If twochai will permit me, here is a photo of a Fleet Canuck cockpit more akin to the one I flew over three decades ago. They sure do change!

Sorry, EvansB, got you beat by two decades (earlier, unfortunately). The airplane I soloed on was almost identical to the one in Keith's original photo!!

Regret I will be out of pocket for three days so: OPEN HOUSE to all comers.

Another X-Plane ? Grumman XTB3F - 1 (G-70) composite engined prototype prior to AF-2 guardian ????? Keith.

Keith, as it was a prototype, it did carry an 'X' designator, but it is not the Grumman XTB3F-1.

Not a Curtiss. The mystery aircraft first flew in 1945.
