Yours looks like there is a gun-sight on the dash mate? Some sort of fighter-bomber-patrol aircraft from WW2?

GA Hotspur.

Probably a MkII given the Instructor instrumentation - it could be a III but one can not tell without seeing the fin.

Yes, it is a General Aircraft G.A.L. 48 Hotspur assault glider. The troops are Canadian Airborne.

Too bad it is "open house" again..
