Hi Mel.

The guns look German?...

I've had a look around at control columns. The Germans seem to have used wooden handle-grips that from a distance look like used condoms...

And your handle looks a little phallic...

So, possibly German? Maybe the Fokker D.VII, which is not on your list?

An Albatros variant? I know we have had the DIII and V, so what about the DII?

Thank you for the prompt response Mel, this is 'What Cockpit" real time! I have looked very closely at the image and dug out my very old copy of "Fighter". The fuselage strutting looks quite distinctive, in a kind of "M" configuration.

Is the aircraft a Pfalz? Perhaps a D.XII?

Not a Sea Lion, I'm afraid...

Think less big cat and more Liverpudlian vernacular query, as well... At least that's how it might sound...

Might have had a chance if you'd suggested a Liverpudlian singer.

Sycamore,

Yes, both throttles go aft from the cockpit...

Kitbag,

I think I've been hoist by my own cryptic petard... Not sure what you mean...

Is he referring to the Supermarine Scylla? Cilla Black the Liverpudlian singer!
