Is that the same as Southernaire Roadable, designed by Ted Hall, and built by Southern Aircraft of Texas?

I suspect it is,Regdep. It was built a group of former Luscombe Airplane employees. I obviously misread the caption. Southern Aerocar

All plausible, but alas, it is the rare 1939 Hall XCP-1 Flying Car.

Open house is fine. I think there is mixed data floating around. And I think it has been quoted as "Southernaire Roadable, designed by Ted Hall, and built by Southern Aircraft of Texas"

Well I thought the "aircar" was in the bag for me, but it proved to be too elusive....

Not so elusive...and not on Mel's list, which surprises me....
