Hmmm... Would the sky-blue stripe across the bottom of the panel not lead to pilot disorientation if the aircraft became inverted??

First flew in the late 60's. A later variant featured prominently in the news in February 2009.

Kitbag,

Second time lucky. The derivative 143 was used by the Tamil Tigers as a bomber in 2009.

You have control.

Sycamore, had to go and look that one up, rotary isn't really my area. Was surprised to find PZL now owned by Agusta Westland.

Anyway, in answer to the question, it is not the PZL W3; the subject helicopter would be somewhat lighter than the PZL design, it is now in service and in production with additional variants being developed.

No, although in the same general class this one is very much a twin and is a younger beast than the Italian bird.

D'you know I'd nearly forgotten what the subject is! It's not a Bell, it is not an American design, but is set to be used over there. It was derived from a similar mission requirement that the Bell will fulfil.
