Evansb has it in one!
The Eurocopter UH 72 Lakota, over 340 are on order. Based upon the EC145 they are intended to replace the ubiquitous UH1.
Now, should we just let this thread die quietly?

Prewar British military by the colour, thought perhaps something like the Miles Magister, but maybe with a stalling speed of 40mph the Cierva autogyro may be more likely.

i did fly one about 32 years ago,but failed to log the reg....
possibly a `lifting body` ,HL-10 ? Bit `tatty ` looking for such a valuable research a/c..
