Webcam shows men on scissor lift at tail pod. Looks they are re-packing the brake chute. Weather looking good tomorrow..........

Wishing the entire team good fortune. Get in!

Hope it gets MASSIVE media coverage....if not, I am sure Ppruners will rush to get the first images on this site tomorrow.

Wish I could get to Brunters tomorrow !!!

Cheers

Not so fast, Tombstone.....

The promise included a song of my choice in each Marham crewroom with the rose held between the appropriate cheeks.

So 'The Flag flies high' it shall be - excpet that the words shall be:

"This Rose flies high and proudly
And I sing for a happy first flight
Now see the Earth a-tremble
At our Vulcan's military might
So give to me your hands, my friends,
Your worthy hands, my friends
And we'll all, we'll applaud 558,
Ecks Aitch,
Ecks Aitch,
Ecks Aitch 558..FIVE FIVE EIGHT..AIN'T SHE GREAT!"

Any old RAFG mate should be able to give you the tune - amend the words a bit to fit if you need to!

Let me know when you have the film and I will make sure that it goes to Primetime Joanna!

Media Coverage...

There are video camera teams in the hangar as I write this.
Does anyone know if the first flight will be covered by any of the main TV companies and if so when the results will be transmitted?

Surely it's in TVOC's interests to release this info..there could be a potential sponsor watching the TV News today??

Pesky work issues prevent me from driving to Brunters today GRRRRRRR!!!

I have it on good authority that SKY will be covering it.

Local News

The BBC local news had a live feed this morning showing her outside the hangar and some archive footage. Looked awfully foggy!!

Anyone else hear the BBC R4 news, "It last served in the Falklands war in 1984"

Best of luck to everyone involved.

Looks like the fog has gone and everyone for far and wide is TAFing BLU. Come on chaps, let the old girl rip up the sky again - there are a hell of a lot of fingers crossed in your direction!

Keep eyes on the webcam, because I really can't see Sky News breaking from their God-awfully monotonous coverage of events in Pakistan.

There must be a limit to how much you can play 16 seconds of footage of some politician getting off a plane!

Harrogate - thread creep warning ....

Better than the never ending loop of Diana and Dodi getting in and out of a lift in the Ritz Hotel, Paris!

Back on thread - best of luck to the Vulcan team. Can't believe Sponge is the team commentator ....

Can someone post when 558 is crewed in and starting up??

Sky might show some interest in showing it then.
