The Vulcams are working this morning and she's outside again. According to the TVOC the first flight is definately not today so presume more ground runs to do first. With the forecast as it is I reckon it will be tomorrow or Friday.

A. There are no windows in the hangar.
B. If there were they would not show you the engine running pan or the runway.
C. The operators of Bruntingthorpe are - understandably - not keen on any external cameras as it might affect some of the "secret" testing that the motor industry undertakes there.

Shame it didn't occur to someone to point a 'Vulcam' out of the window...

Roses are shining in East Anglia
In the hush of the silver dew
Roses are flowering in East Anglia
But there's a rose just for you
And the roses will die with the summer time
And our roads may be far apart
But there's one rose that dies not in East Anglia
'Tis the rose that will live with a f*art

Bring back the "Theme from Harry's Game" I reckon.
Or perhaps, another airshow favourite, Floyd's "Wish you were here?"
Was looking at the Vulcams earlier, before she was pushed out, looked like there was a TV/Film crew in the hangar

I have consulted with various types and can definately say I have powered up the stereo all the way to 11. A large malt has been chosen, the glass is clean and in position ready for a celebratory drink. May I humbly request Mr Tombstone to purchase the rose of his choice and prepare to honour his commitment

Blatant cut and paste from TVOC forum
"She has done her first high speed taxi this morning 90 kts and had her nose leg waving merrily in the air.
Little bit of work to do for an hour or 2 then final taxi at 120 kts and stream the parachute.
I do have video but left the cable at home to upload so you will have to wait for the weekend sorry.
May be some footage on the news tonight there are media bods everywhere will try and find out for you all.
She looks like she really wants to get going now."
I can almost hear La Vie En Rose playing already!

Lets hope that the mods will allow Mr Tombstone to post a picture of his committment. Ehem!!

Crews are all listed on the website but I don't think they've actually named those for the first flight - unless I missed it too!

Visiting a friend at Waddo today & tmrw however, if the bird does get up, I shall order said rose upon return to unit...
I would have got away with it it if hadn't been for those pesky kids!
On a serious note, I'd like to wish the crew of XH558 the very best of luck for tmrw. I'm sure they will be like kids on Christmas Eve tonight & not able to sleep with excitement.
Footage at unit will be filmed within 1 week of flight. You have my word (gritted teeth).

Tombstone It might be worth getting my lord the flying lawyer to look over the original statement, you never know he might find a get out clause.

I wish all involved with the project the very best for tomorrow. And, to the lucky crew - have a safe flight!
