Well some very good attempts so far, but none correct yet ! with help from google earth I have measured the distance from each suggested airfield to the target ?
We have had Redhill, Heston, Bembridge, Cowes, White Waltham, Heathrow.
The distances from these to the target as the crow flies ..... (not in any order ??? )
40 miles. 88 miles. 34 miles. 26 miles. 87 miles. 23 miles. ???

Keith.

JENKINS, It's not Booker ! It's a very small airfield, not too far from the largest city in the UK, I cycled there many times in the 60's ! It's not far from the place of my birth ? (not much help to anyone ? )

Definitely going to have to put the historian hats on for this one but it had a strong international connection.

Time for a few clues it seems.

This Field has twice come to very vibrant life in time of war but languished in between and is now all but gone.

The hangars and flightline certainly look very similar but no, not Park Field.

Obviously built in the same era, probably from the same plans... "Aerodrome, MK1, Training, for use of".
