Background Noise; you have control

The unconventional approach is due to the caravan park short finals that can be seen in the middle picture. Noise and the complaints that accompany noise being the problem.

The water tower looks like a landmark near Wyton in Cambridgeshire, but I guess the whole of East Anglia could be covered in such items.

Bourn it is - SD has it. Was that too much of a clue (not suggesting SD didn't know it anyway) - how long do we string it out usually?

No, the only clue I needed was that it is in the UK (as I thought), then it was a simple matter to look up Pooleys...

EvansB challenge.

Military, probably US Military for the only UK airfield with that much concrete was RAF (USAFE) Burtonwood which this is not. Therefore whilst possibly in Germany is more likely to be mainland US.

Anywhere close?

The village in the distance and the terrain just don't look like the USA to me ... but I have been wrong before (gasp!).
