Well it's been 48 hours, some excellent posts, maybe time for some hints ?
1. Picture taken in 1943.
2. Closed as AFB 1945.
3. Opened as civil 1947.
4. Closed again by 1970.
5. By 2004, 5 hangars and a small amount of runway survive.

Sorry again Sabredog, so for we have had posts from North Dakota, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, and 3 from Texas, And so far the correct state has not been mentioned ? I am enjoying this, are you ? Keith ????

While looking for details of Boeing's private field in Montana, I came across Malta Airport with an aerial view that looks like it only has 5 hangers....
