Which Aerodrome?
Sembawang, Singapore. Formerly HMS Simbang.
C2J, Thanks. It was the mangroves and what looked like HDB flats that allowed me to zoom in on the right place. What were you flying when you took the picture?
Here's one with water, but definitely no mangroves:

OK. Answers to your questions.
Bri, it's in the north, but not a Nordic country, although I know they do nordic skiing.
Russell, it's technically a "water aerodrome", so it qualifies for this thread
c2j, it's not Nessie, but there are legends of water monsters all over the world, so maybe it's her relative?
A clue. Here is a pair of recent METARS:
and a temperature graph:
My son, who lives here, tells me that even the locals who like winter, were complaining that it was "a bit cold".

The waterdrome of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, CES7, located adjacent to the shores of the great Athabasca River. If a relative of Nessie inhabits these frigid waters, she must be burnin' diesel! Tis' home of the largest population of New Foundlanders west of St. Johns. Great photo of the waterdrome, by the way.

What took you so long, Bri? I thought you would get it in one!
Yes, it's Fort McMurray, Alberta, with all those Newfies working in the oil sands. There are special Newfie sections in the supermarkets, full of very strange foods
The float planes at this time of the year would either be stored or working on skis.
The picture shows downtown on the left, the Athabasca at the top and a little piece of the Clearwater river in the bottom right.
Over to you, where I hope it's a bit warmer than up north.
