When I view some posts thay have a box with a red cross in it instead of a picture. Right clicking and selecting 'show picture' does nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Aerial reconnaissance photos of British east coast.

German reconnaissance photographs of the east coast of the UK taken shortly before World War II have been put on display for the first time.
The aerial views of cities, towns and beaches from Kent to Wick were stolen from a Luftwaffe base by a British commando towards the end of the war.

Wasn't the Dagger single seat? In which case no?

I didn't spot the T designator - I am so humbly sorry - I feel suitably b*******d.

No doesn't help, as the TF-102 is a trainer!! Are you saying it's a bomber or transport? Perhaps an F-111?

Okay, let's narrow it down to something in the Museum at McClellan AFB, CA, shall we?? It's obviously a side-by-side large aircraft with a tricycle undercarriage and pretty large, as youy appear to be quite high. Checked out the C-119, T-39 and HU-16 cockpits but combing/dash is not right for any of these? Jet or prop?

It's not McClellan with the C-133 in the background.

C-141 at Dover AFB AMC museum?

Well done Treadigraph! What threw me was the F-101B in front of it with s/n 57-0428. I looked up to see where this was and my records show that '428 is(was?) in the McCellan AFB collection. The Dover AFB collection has (had?)s/n 52-1639, so how old is that shot or have they swapped them around recently?

I looked up surviving C-133s via Wiki (dangerous!) and decided it had to be either Dayton (no) or Dover, and the 141 seemed to fit the bill best. Well that's what t'internet's for innit?

Certainly a spacious place to go to work - could you look around many of the exhibits at Dover LFT?

On certain days yes, but it's only usually the C-141B and an ex-Pope C-130 that are always open, but if there's anyone working on an aircraft and you ask they'll just tell you to go on and have a looksee, no problem,

Sunset over PL344

Not my photographs, but I thought they were superb shots and worth posting.

They were sent to me by Cliff Spink, and show Spitfire IX PL344 at Duxford.

It has just finished a 9 month refurbishment for Tom Blair. The first part of its flight test schedule has been completed, and it will now undergo some minor work before it takes to the air again.
Pictures taken by Col Pope who owns the copyright and has kindly given permission for me to post them here.
