Project Sunrise
And here is the orginal Double Sunrise. As a small boy of three, I remember my mother pointing out these distant silver things on the Swan River and saying they were Catalinas. Of course I had no idea of what I was seeing, or their significance. Probably the first time I ever saw an aircraft. Well done the Royal Australian Air Force and QANTAS!!
You are a first class d**khead.
If you think any of these pilots crewed the flight as a step to climb the greasy pole as you describe, you are totally deluded creep.
I am embarrassed to have you as one of a so called professional pilot fraternity.
You think I give a sh#t what you think.
To even suggest that this sort of thing goes on in Corporate Australia, let alone a national icon such as QANTAS, is nothing short of scandalous!
Why do people have to resort to insults you'd normally hear in a bar at closing time on here? It really is off-putting - please don't do it.
From all reports the pilots did a great job especially with the media on board. What’s becoming patently obvious is people like yourself will lie and insult for your own industrial agenda. Obviously jealous and spiteful. A real first order prick quite frankly. Go get a life.
They claim that the benefit of project sunrise for pilots is lots of growth. In the same conversation, they say there is no guarantee of growth!?. They also admit the 787 was in fact a 747 replacement, and let slip that the a350 could be a 380 replacement!
There seems to be a growing unease amongst the troop, and a suspicion that project sunrise is more accurately project “Trojan Horse”. A wonderful plan to sneak in very substandard pilot conditions. Imagine all the KPI bonus payouts if they get this one over the line! 👏🤮

Lies gave the former AIPA President lots of perks as he now sits opposite those he once claimed to represent.
At times like this it is reassuring that there are those with foresight to summarise the lies emanating from Fort Fumble.
“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”
― George W. Bush
It’s a massive trust and engagement problem. Neither DT or NS have any credibility from the last EA.
Their involvement in negotiations is counter productive to company goals.
Project Alan’s Trojan Sunset is one curve ball that might get be best letting go to the keeper

No benefit for the Pilots in Project Sunrise as it currently stands.
The Webinars unveiled nothing of a real or positive outcome for Pilots.
It’s becoming obvious that these aircraft will quickly replace the A380 once the economy of scale is reached and the Project Sunrise aircraft penetrate the traditional routes, destinations, and markets.
Are Jamie Maree, Krusty34 and TrooBeliver company elements on this site? I agree with Asturiass56, it might be better if you just positioned your point of view rather than attack other points of view.
Dunda certainly nailed the feeling amongst Pilots. A very substandard offer in regards to pilot conditions and I might add pay.
No one I know is even slightly interested at this time in the current unpersuasive offers in Project Sunrise and the more this plays out the less trusting we are all becoming of the company panel.

You could hear the others trying to silence him in the background.
I suppose Qantas have to try a very low ball offer.
Its a REPLACEMENT type.

Even with a Judas sheep like "stream Lead" leading the IR negotiation, that mathematical equation is hard to fault.
Well look at it from the companies view - "the 787 & the A350 are a lot smaller than the 747 or the 380 and you expect to be paid the same??? Surely you jest?"

Instead what companies (including Qantas) do is roll out a spin campaign with a catchy jingoistic title, manipulate the media narrative and obfuscate at every turn.
It is Little Napoleon and QF IR that took the company to the well in 2011, claiming to all and sundry it was "terminal". It is the same fool in charge now. Emboldened by self enrichment, and garnishing a team of Judas sheep why not go to the well again?
