A bit touchy there mr Feenix. Not questioning OA's ability, you have an exceptional ops rep.Last year was a better than ever "wet season."My "pretend" 0930 metar wasn't uncommon at the "Rock".I'm sure you're better equipped in you're -300 than we in the -200 will ever be (VOR/NDB only) I wouldn't go telling the world you're doing GPS appr's at NF unless you have that "mythical" SCAT kit fitted.Like I said,"It's all yours"

mauswara, no, not at all touchy just stating fact. We are no better equipped than you VOR/NDB and I never said we were doing GPS approaches as you state. I said our record was prior to the use of GPS but we are fitting the "mythical GPS". I had nothing but good wishes for OJ but you seemed to read it differently.

Blackbandit, your quote:-
An interesting lie you told regarding QF trying to reduce fuel loads
Amos 2's quote:-
management (Qantas) were constantly trying to reduce us to minimun fuel loads.
BB's next quote:-
As I said, QF never has, and never will, require a pilot to fly with less than the minimums.
So, BB, what are you on about? Amos 2 never said anything about "less than the minimums". He said "to the minimun [sic]"

Logically then, BB,
As I said, an interesting lie.
needs to be retracted.

down3

No retraction necessary.

If this fellow was carrying fuel instead of payload he doesnt deserve his slot. Minimum fuel is minimum fuel. As I said, (correcty), the habit of carrying a bit of extra for mum and the kids is gone long gone. Probably why the company he was employed by is gone, long gone, from the service.

Down3, I hope that if you're employed in the aviation industry you havent been affected by the lasted economic downturn, because in all honesty, with your attitude, you will find it very difficult to be re-employed.

Best wishes and best of luck.

ps: since you appear to be a stickler, your use of (sic), is incorrect. In future, please use square parentheses, ie, [sic].

Encouraging to see BlackBandit made an attempt at a positive post, for once, insofar as helping D3G's with some punctuation correction.

What a pity his own spelling and punctuation let him down, e.g. "lasted", "correcty", "gone long gone", and "doesnt". Most probably typos that we all make, but when you are correcting someone you need to be sure about your own material.

Incidentally BB, there are no "square parentheses". By dictionary definition parentheses are curved lines or curved brackets. The punctuation marks you quite properly suggested for D3G's text are more correctly known as square brackets.

Flak jacket is ready.

Feenix

You seem very quiet my boy, or is it that we cant hear your dribble because your head is so far down in the sand?

With the arrival of Strategic, it looks like I am going to be correct again. OA's death probably wont be as slow and painful as you hoped it would be.

I give you until October. Are any of your aircraft for sale? Does OA own them?

Hmm seems Solomon Airline's turning to the dark side with plans for an A320 in August.

solomonstarnews.com - Airline to get new aircraft in August

Our Airline may have to sweeten the deal to keep the Solies on side. Can anyone publish payload figures and comparative costs for the B737-300 currently running the BNE-HIR?

If an EMB-170 didnt work, what makes you think an A320 will work! SAW Mk2?

Sal-e i know what you are saying..., and im glad that OA is not going via this route. The deal straight up was very good and the bottom line of both airlines proove it.
The local big boys can find pig grease for their palms from the new outfit. Never given by us and that is why the change methinks.
Doesnt matter we will keep doing things the right way.
