Mauswara - must be expecting a decent "parking" infringement notice soon as couple of days was spent inspecting the aircraft.

OzJet

Why?????????? Why would you want to buy 4 clapped out old bangers when you have your own AOC and 2 B737-300's Pax A/C sounds like something SAW would do, they bought everything else !!!!!!!!!

With so many very cheap fairly modern aircraft parked all over the desert, there's nothing to be gained by taking on another operator's debt and assorted baggage. Even an AOC is worth nothing unless it comes with good contracts. And if it had good contracts it wouldn't be for sale.

Heard that NL has given up trying to make money out of this outfit and about to give it away, literally. Seems like a good idea, after all, he has a reputation to uphold. Wow!

Firstly why would Our Airline (Air Nauru) want to buy Ozjet, they have their own AOC, aircraft, contracts etc.

Secondly, with what would they buy it. From all accounts the recent "C" check on INU was not cheap at all.

Next rumour please.

RPG - a quick Google would have saved you asking that question. Yes is the answer.

By the way, don't believe too much of what you read on any threads with OzJet in them. They contain lots of deliberate speculation and nonsense put out by NL under a number of different user names.

All I will have to say about Ozj*t is that management in MEL are a bunch of crooks only interested in their own working holidays in sunny Australia.......how long till your bubbles burst and you all have to go back to the miserable UK???????

I couldn’t agree more, They can blame the NL and PS for all the problems in OzJ*T BUT ..... there is one common denominator in OzJ*t 1,2 and now probably three... The incompetent, self serving management.

Bon Voyage

I would solely blame the WO's, RH's and AC's in the company. They are so out of touch with their crew online. The simple fact that they are in MEL when all their crew are based BNE, NLK and PER. If any base needs to go MEL is it. All heads of departments need to actually get out online and see what is actually going on. The Britts need to realise you catch more fly's with honey. The way they intimidate is disgraceful; I wonder how they sleep at night?????

Let me see it's, March which means its Grand Prix time in Melbourne, which means it's that time of the year for Paul Stoddart to pop up.

What gems will Stoddart announce to the media at this year's GP, I know a full a Business class airline operating between Sydney and Melbourne using thirty year old clapped out B737's from the old dart!! No sorry done that a few years back.

Wonder what he will announce this year, I reckon he will buy the RAAF F-111 fleet and spares and run them as a Business class airline, come adventure flight come express package delivery service between Melbourne and Sydney.

I feel sorry for the staff who have to endure management and the all the -up's they continually make. The whole operation in MEL is a sham. If they had a brain between them they would explode!!!!

Management Supreme

If I hadn't looked closely I would have thought you guys were talking about that almost ex outfit Sky (lets by another hotel in the solomons) airworld. I think what fooled me was the high level of responsible management!!!!!

Lots of good points here folks, but it's getting really confusing trying to work out what is ACTUALLY happening.

Mach E Avelli:

Even an AOC is worth nothing unless it comes with good contracts.
I don't think AOCs actually DO come with contracts. Care to elaborate?

123456_per_au:

If the had a brain between them they would explode!!!!
Perhaps better expressed as 'If their [SAW management] brains were made of dynamite, it wouldn't blow their hats off'?

The Hooker

that almost ex outfit Sky (lets by another hotel in the solomons) airworld.
I don't think from what I'm reading that SAW can get too much closer than 'ex' status at this stage, from what we're all seeing here on PPRuNe! It looks like it's well-and-truly GONE!

And:

I think what fooled me was the high level of responsible management!!!!!
Aww, c'mon. you're joking, of course!

Anyone:

What's the go with the reputed SAW purchase of Regional Pacific? Did $$$$$$$'s actually change hands with respect to the alleged sale/purchase? Are SAW candidates for the biggest fools of 2009 if they DID enter such a purchase agreement while they were in/approaching a state of imminent DEATH? Any answer? Anyone?

Is this thread about Scary Skyworld or Ozjet?

To answer re an AOC being worth nothing on its own - buying or establishing an AOC is no different to buying or establishing any other business - if there IS no business, why would you bother? For everything else, go to the SAW thread.
