Heard Ozjet wrecking a B737-200 in Perth for parts ? can any one in the west confirm this? also any truth in the rumour that Heavy Lift is going to operate two ex National Jet B727-200F's under Ozjet AOC ?

Those VH-V** registered aircraft are being offered for sale... doubt in this would under operate in Ozjet

The 732 dismantled? Wouldnt they want to use that to Derby & Indonesia?

There is 3 B737-200's in Perth OZX,OZU,OBN,how many flts to Derby and Indo a week ?

topend3 17th Jan 2009 13:45

they go to derby 4 x per week, think its 2-3 services to bali

Skystar320 17th Jan 2009 21:08

3 x Ozjet 732's???? I must be blind....

Urshtnme 17th Jan 2009 22:35

One of them has been parked up on the GA side for weeks and hasn't moved. A second has been parked up over at the International Airport, I think that's been flying every now and then. The third is around where the AAE 727 sits and hasn't moved in a while either.

Good for catching cob webs!

SeldomFixit 17th Jan 2009 22:36

Anyone remember 2 x 737-200's brought in from the Philippines, about 10 years ago, if I remember correctly ( possibly by SPAM or affiliates ) intended for cheap as chips East Coast ops that sat............................and sat..............................and sat...............and vanished ?

topend3 18th Jan 2009 00:15

the only thing keeping their derby services going is the mining contract that supports it, otherwise one would think this would not be viable.

The Green Goblin 18th Jan 2009 01:05

There was one sitting at Darwin on the Military apron when I came through the other day.

Engineer_aus 20th Jan 2009 08:20

VH-OBN is the one thats been sitting on the ground. The other 2 fly regularly, OBN fly's once in a while.

VLH flew MEL-BNE today, VLI needs a C check and 3 engines, I think it was going to go to ASIA to get the C check done. I to heard that O7 was going to ops the 727F

XRlent100 20th Jan 2009 10:39

Eng Aus,

OZJET used to do the work they do now with only 1 737. Is it because they're losing flying elsewhere that they're able to reposition them to Perth?

I hear the third 737 will be scrapped in ASIA shortly.

Thanks for the info about the B737-200's and the B727F, hadn't seen an Ozjet B737-200 around for a while.

What Goes?

Rumor still big fight ceo and owner, creditors not paid for months, tho plan to fly to NLK to competing OA. Also 732 in Djakarta for c chk and not likely retrn to Aussie. Bali under pressure from J*.

What goes?

topend3 21st Jan 2009 11:44

bali would be under pressure from J* Pac Blue and Garuda, hard to see how they will survive amongst the competition...

3 Holer 21st Jan 2009 21:26

Engineer aus you say....

VLH flew MEL-BNE today, VLI needs a C check and 3 engines, I think it was going to go to ASIA to get the C check done.
I think you have confused your aircraft.

VLI was C checked in June 2008 and has three good engines. VLH has been sitting outside John Holland's hangar for the past 6 months and doing diddley squat.

Are you sure it (VLH) flew to BNE last night?

I will let you know about which B737200F is parked at old ITB at Bne ,I have to go out there later tonight, standby for the answer to the mystery!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 Holer 22nd Jan 2009 08:25

Thanks BPB737 but have already been advised it is VLH and she's bound for the good old USA !

Probably end up being Obama's private baggage aircraft!:E

Skystar320 22nd Jan 2009 09:15

727-200F is rumoured to be destined to a south american cargo carrier

Engineer_aus 22nd Jan 2009 09:23

VH-NLK and VH-OBN are having their #2 enigne's swapped while one is flown to the end and then will be scrapped.

Peter Brady 22nd Jan 2009 09:46

Good one Engineer Aus

Think you'll find NLK and OBN belong to two differnt companies. Makes for good reliable info! Back to the drawing board.
