Skystar 320
Sky came like a star and went like a meteorite,
HL is still here flying and hopefully soon in N,
as well as Strat, soon with 330,we wish them good luck,
defence can always use the KC10 if they wanted,
at least everyone stayed away from 190s
this is a democratic country,Australia should be proud of these
aviation entrepreneurs, still trying to put us on the world map.
....and not stealing people their monies,
do you see Phillipines or Portuguese planes crashing everyday,
if you can do better in making your name in aviation history,
good luck.

It is hard to see how Ozjet will continue to operate after the NLK contract expires and Our Airline takes over. What happened to the plans to run in competition with Norfolk Air?

Crew
NLK is only one of the contracts and whilst it provides work for those on the East Coast, the West Coast still operates contracts.
Hopefully it will just be a change of scenery for those on the East Coast

Crew rest
If you mean by:
"Probably the case. A small group have been trying without success to undermine their boss for sometime"
Then yes you are correct…. A group have stood together and only asked of the company what they should be entitled to by their contract in overnight allowances ect
Some OzJet CC’s have been forced by the company to do temp transfers or risk being “made redundant” (manager’s words), for a minimum of two weeks duration.
They are away from family, children, pets, friends, home at a wage of more than half than they are entitled. They’re in share accommodation, near the airport in the middle of an industrial area and no transport.
The company have used the economic climate as their excuse, however the majority of staff in PER have either resigned or been terminated, leaving them short.
I suspect crew rest and the other people posting comment on “123”would feel differently if they came to work one day and instead of getting $1000 in wages were told they would get $500…supported by a loophole the company have found in their contract…Then to top it all off instead of being based in Melb they would be working from DRW….. I think the group you are talking about are not undermining manager but don’t want to be "out of pocket"while being paid less than agreed whilst away from home.
While other people in the company make little or no sacrifice and are still taking their big salaries, yet they are the one’s who got the company in this mess.
“As far as undermining their manager for some time” I think that person does a pretty good job of it on their own…They don’t need any help.

Aren't temporary transfers part of the contract?
So, what you are saying is that the company have asked CC to go to Perth on a temp and they dont like it. I ask you this: given the staff shortage in Perth what would happen if the company could not crew the flights?
Loopholes or not, are the allowances paid in accordance with contract? It comes accross as sour grapes to complain about being shafted by a "loophole" in a contract that people have signed. Maybe take it up with the FAAA.
Let's assume that the CC manager leaves. Would the replacement do anything differently?
Gossip goes way beyond standing up for "rights."

Crew rest...back in your box, your not the one trying to live on half the allowances in the middle of no where with no way of getting around. The whole things was handled like crap. It's no wonder NO ONE likes or respects ANY of the heads of department. Glad I got out of the company before all this mess happened. Lets hope they keep their word and actually bring the crew back to BNE before they fold....

OzJet
Hey Ozjet F/A's this Thread isn't meant to be a forum about Norfolk F/A's and the rest of of Ozjet F/A's east and west, I know you get a raw deal from your management and I am SORRY, BUT THIS WAS ALWAYS ABOUT THE AIRCRAFT and Ozjet itself and where the big NL was going with it
