Stationair 8, I think you may be a little out of date here. The racing car man sold oz quite some time ago and in all liklyhood has FA to do with the company. At least that was what was reported last year.

123 ..etc.. sounds like something has got up your noses, care to share?

1234 etc etc

Give it break and get off your high horse. It's got nothing to do with them being brits or taking Aussie jobs.

Plenty of Aussies overseas filling jobs. What goes around comes around.

They may be pr##ks but that is an individual thing. The way you are carrying on they may also just be pr##ks to you and you may deserve it.

Hey, Heavy, Heavy, Heavy!!! Doesn't the sale of these aircraft fly in the face of your protestations that HL/OJ were the force to be reckoned with and they had the rosiest of futures? Give me a moment whilst I go and split my sides with laughter.

The legacy of certain operations, having already been a blight on the industry, always makes it harder for those with bona-fides - everyone gets tarred with the same brush, unfortunately. However, in the end, those with professionalism, and a realistic bottom line, survive. Look around, who's still there - and likely to be for a while yet ?????????

And what's the goss on the RP registered aircraft? Or is it cheaper to keep them operating on a foreign AOC than the VH ones with the relevant surveillance?

Probably the case. A small group have been trying without success to undermine their boss for a while.

Personalitiies aside, the trouble with Ozjet is that it just doesn't add up. Just like SAW. Unfortunately people needing jobs or just wanting a better aircraft look at it with Rose coloured glasses only to find, as is the case with SAW, that they really are poo coloured.

That said, I wish people working at Ozjet all the best and actuallly hope it succeeds. However, I "personally" still think its days are numbered.

As far as heavylift is concerned though, that is another matter. The concept that you have a flag of convenience operator actually condoned and operating when it is clearly based in Australia and being permitted to operate by CASA against other organisations that have a completely different set of hurdles and oversight is a disgrace. And CASA this is aimed at you. You can't blame NL for going through the crack in the door and not subjecting himself to CASA if he doesn't need to. That aside, NL would take any short cut he could irrespective and that little trait normally brings a whole different set of problems.

Crew Rest,

Heavy will only tell you what he wants to in furthering his interests, don't expect a prompt reply if it reflects poorly (truthfully??) on the state of affairs at OJ/HL.

You notice how quiet he's gone of late now that the bubble has burst?

OzJet

Some things just don't add up 4 B737-200'S VH registered minus VH-OBN ( SCRAPPED FOR PARTS will probably never fly again) = 3 B737-200'S
2 B737-200F's VH-VLH sitting in BNE gathering Bird S##T and VH-VLI sitting in MEL gathering Bird S##T ( both needing engines and checks)
So how do you make money when you have all these A/C sitting around racking up parking fees.
I think I know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relax. Everyone uses foreign aircraft in Aus.
Qantas + Atlas N freighters
Stratigic + A330 Portugese
Virgin/Pac Blue + 737 Kiwi
Toll + 737 Kiwi
Jet *Asia + 9V
HeavyLift + RP and shortly N

If Australia has a proper regulator who acted in a manner like the kiwis or Yanks we would not need the conversation ? Most domestic freight in Australia is carried in ZK Kiwi aircraft. Aussies cannot see the forest from the trees because you are to busy telling the world you are the best ?
Please do not defend CASA or I will Vomit.

Heavy,

I'm sure it is in your interest to have people settle down.

Putting aside the Kiwi operators on which there is an open agreement and legislation, the only two in the list which are "based" in Australia are HL and Strategic.

Both should be subject to Australian legislation and both should be subject to to open and transparent commercial pressures. Neither are. There is a reason why neither have an Australian AOC and I would put to you that neither was capable of getting one.

HL now has Ozjet but it should be noted that they haven't put or been able to put their B727's on the AOC..... says a lot.

Strategic are attempting to get one now as the gravy train they have been on comes to an end with the RAAF intro of the A330.

The fact that Australian Government use both of them and condone the non competative practice and lack of standards is a disgrace. Any major company would be all over these comanies with Audits. What does CASA and the defence force do....nothing..
