MEL LAX = 7921nm
The 777-300ER is the Extended Range (ER) version of the 777-300 and contains many modifications, including the GE90-115B engines, which are the world's most powerful jet engine with 115,300 lbf (513 kN) thrust. Other features include raked wingtips, a new main landing gear, extra fuel tanks (2,600 gallons), as well as strengthened fuselage, wings, empennage, nose gear, engine struts and nacelles, and a higher MTOW, 775,000 lb versus 660,000 lb for the 777-300. The maximum range is 7,930 nautical miles (14,685 km). The 777-300ER program was launched by Air France, though for political reasons, Japan Airlines was advertised as the launch customer. The first flight of the 777-300ER was February 24, 2003. Delivery of the first 777-300ER to Air France occurred on April 29, 2004.

Fumes, have heard Sth Africa as well. I''m hearing 3 777's to start with this year, then another 10+ ordered/optioned to grow the Airline. Economies of scale would suggest they need at least a dozen.

Salary in the REGION of $210,000 and $130,000 including super and incentive. It does not state what incentive is. Incentive is yearly bonus (for retention) is it not and overtime/duty pay is seperate?

Correct. Duty pay / overtime is not included. The SFO figure is closer to 140K with super included...'in the region of 130' is the wording I believe. I agree in advance, doesn't make a big difference, but attractive to many for year one in a new, Aus based company I reckon.

If the pages and pages of multiple posts here are even slightly correct then one FACT remains. Guys are accepting jobs, and commencing training without a CONFIRMED salary package OR the package is so c@%p that they are embarrassed to confirm it is true.
The Captains salary is an insult. Break Right agree 110% why would any current VB B737 Captain take a substantial pay cut to move to the B777. I can't see any VB B737 Captain earning less than $200k this year - then there is super etc etc on top of that.
Good luck and good night.
Go the Blues !!!!!!!!!!!

It sure is a crap deal Keg.
It amazes me how these characters include super and other bonuses in an attempt to inflate the gross salary. Superannuation in this country is a minimum of 9%. Some enlightened employers offer more, but many only offer what they have to. So, the gross salary is not $140K P/A for FO's it is $127.6 + Super. Also what is the "incentive"? If it were say $10K P/A, then this would translate to a base of $117.6, to fly a 777!!! Any other way of describing this is simply spin, and one would think any reasonable person would see it as such.
Look closely boys and girls. See what's going on around you. The amounts being offered by VOZ is nothing short of a con!

$210 including super in the real world equates to a deal of $190K including allowances. Nobody really includes super in the gross income deal. Less say $15 in allowances means about $175K real declared income (including overtime if you read the above into it).
How low can we go people?

Their seems to be some feeling out there that flying a 777 is, for some reason, considerably harder than some smaller types. If so, why is this?
Sure, long haul is tyring, but less time is spent in critical phases of flight. It has always been apparent to me that pay is normally linked to seniority.....these VOz figures are entry level.....no seniority in the company. And the reality is, it is a new company. They're not going to offer what more established companies are currently offering.
Reading the comments above closely, nobody is inflating the salary. Seems most are saying 'including super and incentive payments', how clear do they have to be? The only consistantly inflated salary is that of the first year QF SO.
So 120K base for a direct entry, wide-body, FO, with no requirement to locate yourself overseas at any point....that's what's on offer. Can someone point out the better deal for the equivalent position?
I hate to echo other posts, but if it's not for you, why are you here?
