Heared on the Flaggon line that Airnorth could be getting their second 170 sooner than later.Rumour has it that the Skyairworld machine has gone in for a re -re paint,Now all white!!!No more Solomons Airline colors,something to do with ETOPS/limited to 50pax.

It's leased from ILFC ex Air Hong Kong after they went to 738, incidentialy inst that where the airnorth jet came from
The EMB may be showcased to RPT / Charter ops in perth Skywest (not really) Skippers, Maroomba, Network....

Air Hong Kong doesn't have 73's! They never had Embraers either.
The 2 aircraft you are referring to are ex Hong Kong Express. They were originally leased out by GECAS, although they may have changed to ILFC.

Smithy, the cunning #$%^&** that he is, has organised the KNX schedules nicely. Leave KNX for PER early in the morning (cool) and leave KNX in the heat of the afternoon but only have to hop to DRW. 
The jet is still very toyish though. Maybe the long one looks more like the real deal.

And that last post clearly demonstrates how little knowledge a considerable number of people have in building schedules. Many factors not to mention the new code share agreement with QF go into developing schedules. Not just the ambient tempreture at a certain time of the day.
Steelcraft you sucker. I said that half-in-jest, but you just had to have a go didn't you. Perhaps there were other considerations, but if I were planning it, from an operational point of view, it couldn't be done much better than the way AN is doing it. After all, the aim is to carry the most passengers, is it not? Or are you of the brigade that airlines would be far better off without areoplanes, pilots and passengers?
QF obviously had a major change of heart
(or were convinced) and now don't mind KNX being done the AN way because they used to run the Airlink schedule totally the opposite.
