Well done to Smithy. He did a good job getting it up in less than twelve months. just on 11 actually.

Topend you need to get out of your phone box more, I didn't knock air north I said I would be supprised if they have it operating within twelve months. Which they have done.

Did Skyairworld buy this aircraft or was it leased?

It's leased from ILFC ex Air Hong Kong after they went to 738, incidentialy inst that where the airnorth jet came from

The EMB may be showcased to RPT / Charter ops in perth Skywest (not really) Skippers, Maroomba, Network....

Wasnt there a rumour of network obtaining jets?

The plot thickins

Rumour was 737-500 for network. Many runways in W.A. it can't use, but. Also very high lease cost so would need a major contract with lots of flying hours.

Air Hong Kong doesn't have 73's! They never had Embraers either.
The 2 aircraft you are referring to are ex Hong Kong Express. They were originally leased out by GECAS, although they may have changed to ILFC.

I know it's a rumour network but !

Smithy, the cunning #$%^&** that he is, has organised the KNX schedules nicely. Leave KNX for PER early in the morning (cool) and leave KNX in the heat of the afternoon but only have to hop to DRW.

The jet is still very toyish though. Maybe the long one looks more like the real deal.

KNX could have been a good overnight for Airlink...

And that last post clearly demonstrates how little knowledge a considerable number of people have in building schedules. Many factors not to mention the new code share agreement with QF go into developing schedules. Not just the ambient tempreture at a certain time of the day.

Who said QF determined the schedule. Its an Air North flight NOT a QF flight.

Steelcraft you sucker. I said that half-in-jest, but you just had to have a go didn't you. Perhaps there were other considerations, but if I were planning it, from an operational point of view, it couldn't be done much better than the way AN is doing it. After all, the aim is to carry the most passengers, is it not? Or are you of the brigade that airlines would be far better off without areoplanes, pilots and passengers?

QF obviously had a major change of heart (or were convinced) and now don't mind KNX being done the AN way because they used to run the Airlink schedule totally the opposite.
