sas5 9th October 2012 09:27

I was on the 4th at 16:00 and im in!!!!

TR24 9th October 2012 09:49

I had my stage 1 on the 4th at 10am, just got email inviting me to stage 2 now. :O

I'm quite surprised as i only managed around 75% on the 2nd and 3rd test.

owensamuel 9th October 2012 09:51

Which stage 2 assessment day did you pick?

sambatc 9th October 2012 09:57

to everyone waiting on results.... there are some of us who haven't been replied to since July. Have a bit of patience

Frenchmax 9th October 2012 09:59

@TR24
Well done
As I said I'm sure to have failed. Looks like NATS send answer to people who passed before those who failed

mtanz0 9th October 2012 10:00

If you haven't been replied to since July I suspect you may be out of luck.

TR24 9th October 2012 10:28

owensamuel: Chose the 23rd, it was either that or the 16th and 17th. Busy over the next few days so went for the last date to give me enough time to prepare, although i'm not sure what to expect as i haven't researched the second stage much as i didn't think i'd get through.

Frenchmax: Give them time, i'm sure they have loads of results to get through and you'll probably hear very soon.

sambatc 9th October 2012 10:30

mtanz0 - they seem to be holding back applications from re-applicants. Thanks for your kind words though.

mtanz0 9th October 2012 10:49

Oh I see. Was that a stage 1 response you were waiting for. Sorry didn't mean to be rude just from what I had read it was generally around two weeks max.

the_don 9th October 2012 11:26

is there anything i could be doing?

Still awaiting news of results of stage 1 but is there anything i could be doing in prep for stage 2?? (if i get there)

ManiaMuse 9th October 2012 11:48

Took Stage 1 on the 4th and just been invited for Stage 2. Slightly surprised as I only answered about 40 of the diagrams and 30 of the cubes.

Gone for the 11th for stage 2, short notice but the other dates I am out of the country on holiday which is a slight problem.

I hear you can't really prepare for stage 2. Is this true?

rr9 9th October 2012 12:26

stage 2

anyone going down for stage two on friday? i'm staying in the premier inn on thursday evening. i don't live too far away but i've no idea how to judge rush hour traffic as i'm not familiar with the area.

The Many Tentacles 9th October 2012 12:37

Leave yourself a lot of time, there's only one road in and out of Whiteley and it's busy. If you're coming East down the M27 from the M3 then there's usually around 3/4 of a mile of traffic queuing in the inside lane to come off at that junction and you can expect similar on the Westbound side as well.

If it's the Premier Inn by J9 then you'll miss of that traffic although you'd want to be leaving at least half an hour, probably a bit more. If you get there early, then read a book ;)

csailor 9th October 2012 14:43

I had my stage 2 on the 5th, just got the results and now stage 3 on the 16th :D
Who else from my stage 2 has their results? (btw, I was the bus driver in the suit)

PIKAD 9th October 2012 15:26

Any results from the 4th?I m still waiting

Megamc 9th October 2012 15:32

I sent an email this morning and they answered me to quickly

I don't pass....

I did it 3th...

Good luck

hannahjane 9th October 2012 16:28

I'm still waiting too...I did my stage one on the 4th oct at 4pm. Not holding my breath though...good luck to all.x

Letitia1689 9th October 2012 16:54

I'm in! :-)

had an email at 9.30 this morning and through to next stage ( i had mine on the 4th at 14.00) i've gone for the 23rd for next stage as too close next week to get time off work! Anyone else doing the 23rd? i'm gonna stay in the premier inn as travelling down from essex and don't fancy leaving at 5 to get there! :-)

Rae_M 9th October 2012 17:09

They did say they'll get back to us in 15 working days :hmm:

hannahjane 9th October 2012 17:14

Yup I know, but when other people from the same day are hearing back so soon, it's not exactly encouraging :-( but no news is good news for now...:-)

Rae_M 9th October 2012 18:56

I get where your coming from, but hopefully they're doing it in a random order. This waiting business is killing me lol

minicub 9th October 2012 19:15

Can anyone that went through stage 2 tell us which tests you guys took? Or is this information confidential?

Highmore 9th October 2012 20:10

@dc747

Not heard - sent an email yesterday morning but I got a response saying they'll reply in 10 working days, and my stage 3 is this friday, so I'm not too hopeful of getting the personality test login stuff.

dc747 9th October 2012 20:40

@Highmore

Am hoping it isn't critical to taking stage 3, would hate to have prepared only to be told the date had to be put back because of it or something similar, but by the fact I haven't got a login yet I assume not, though will be emailing to ask. Glad it isn't just me! Good luck on Friday.

sas5 10th October 2012 08:52

Anyone in for stage 2 on wednesday? the time seems to have changed from 9-5 to 10-4 now after I had to change a date.

@rr9 im staying at the same hotel but next week. Good luck for your stage 2 and let me know how you get on travelling back and forth :)

thegolfpimp 10th October 2012 09:16

Any re applicants still not heard anything back from their original application from july/august? I have emailed nats as they said i would "receive information on my application in 2 weeks" and that was 6-8 weeks ago! I had a confirmation of my email and a day or two later a reply saying they'll ask recruitment what's happened/happening to my application.

ManiaMuse 10th October 2012 10:34

Does anyone know the actual start/end times for stage 2?

My confirmation email says start 10:00, end 15:30. But then later in the email it says the event runs from 8:30 to 16:30.

What time do I need to be there?

Emailed them but got an autoreply saying they would endeavor to reply within 10 days but my stage 2 is tomorrow!

mtanz0 10th October 2012 10:35

Had you just reapplied, or been involved in one of the assessments ? Still no word back for me from stage 1 on the 4th. Given other people have heard, pretty sure I fudged it.

saltykiss 10th October 2012 16:20

dc747

I've been invited to take stage 3, but the dates are such short notice that I'm not hopeful of being able to visit a unit beforehand, although I visited Swanwick when I got to this stage a few years ago. Anyone think not having been to an ATC unit recently will significantly hamper me in the interview?

@hHighmore, I was at the same stage 2 as you, and haven't been sent the personality test yet either, have you heard back from them?
I'm in the same boat as you dc747. I'm there Monday the 15th but because of the short notice I won't get chance to visit a unit, although I did 18 months ago for my first application.

kubusm 10th October 2012 16:38

Does anyone know if Strip Display Managment test is a part of the stage 2 computer tests?

laumal 10th October 2012 17:58

Still waiting for stage 1 outcome

Hello everybody, I just found this forum.

I came from Buenos Aires, Argentina all the way to the UK, and will be staying here until November.
I sat for stage 1 assessment on Monday Oct 1st and haven't heard from Nats yet.
I think I didn't pass and I'm quite sad about it because I'm not sure I will be able to come back next year (money issues), but it would be great to get an e.mail from them so as to be sure.
I came to the UK to try my luck tbh. I like this country, I like it's culture, and I think it's one of the best places to study ATC in the whole world.
I have studied ATC in Buenos Aires, but a couple of months before I finished my training, the Air Force became in charge of providing ATC service by a presidential order. We were not likely to get a job as civilian ATC, and just after that I heard about this opportunity.
The day of the exam I was so anxious and nervous at the same time... anyways... will try to enjoy the rest of my days here!

Wish you all the best of luck!! As for me, I leave it in God's hands, and will try to see how I can get the money to come back next year!

mts1 10th October 2012 18:11

ManiaMuse: that's rubbish, course you can prepare. Personal habilities and skills are usually susceptible of improvement.

mts1 10th October 2012 18:17

I'm one of those who applied in July and has yet not got a response. Re-applicant of course..

the_don 10th October 2012 18:50

waiting wishing

getting the impression that no news is infact bad news...had my stage 1 on the 4th and not had an email where as others have. so frustrating waiting around...get nervous everytime i receive an email... C'MONNNNNNNNN!!! just give me a crack at stage 2!

Rae_M 11th October 2012 00:16

@the_don : lol thats exactly how I feel - I'm in the same boat as you and it's horrible!! :ugh:

malakajin 11th October 2012 01:44

Is there anyone who sat the exam on the 1st 3rd or 4th who got an invitation or rejection e mail today?

Frenchmax 11th October 2012 07:29

Hi,
I sat selection on 4 October and still nothing.

@malakajin:You probably right with your assumption. No answer within 2-3 working days = OUT.

@Rae_M and the_don: This is exactly how I fell too...

fibble 11th October 2012 08:16

I attended on the first but haven't heard anything yet. I'm sure to NATS the way they respond is perfectly logical but for us waiting it seems so random :ugh:

malakajin 11th October 2012 13:25

Patience is a virtue . Maybe this is the ultimate test . They know 85%+ read this forums . Maybe they want to play with ones mind . Maybe they want to see who calls to disturb them while they sort 7k+ applications .Maybe if you dont get an e-mail in less than 48 hours you failed . Maybe there are different people who review the tests ; some faster some slower . Maybe they wanna hold some applicants for the february course ; maybe they are still considering borderline fail applicants . Maybe the e-mail sender soft is totally random . maybe maybe maybe .... there are a lot of theories . Trust me theorycrafting leads nowhere ... All we can do is wait .

Worrying is good at nothing ( except if you like a constant butterfly thingie in your stomach ) ..

Frenchmax 11th October 2012 13:47

I agree with you, patience is a virtue. But I don't have this one. So I hope you're wrong since I craked yesterday and sent an email to NATS.
This morning I heard one of my favorite song on the radio on my way to work. The kind of song that make you feel good. Usually when I heard this song the day is good, so I expected to receive a good news from NATS today. But nothing from them.

But 1 hour ago I found an Iphone in the stairs !!!! I'm a good person so I tried to find out whose is this phone and brought it back to his wife.
