"Passengers want reliable services and looking at Flybe it is all over the place. "

it's not a reputation that you want - and the way things are going is starting to make people think about FB1

Any news as to how NCLLHR and NCLBFS doing?

I've no idea if it is an accurate representation of bookings but the few dummy bookings I've tried in the last few weeks have showed very low loads on Newcastle - Heathrow when I've gone to reserve a seat.

Today's flight down south has 12 reserved seats and tomorrow's return has 8 pax.

Think you'll have to ask on the EZY thread for NCLBFS! :ok:

The first Sunday evening BHD-NCL was cancelled, but don't know if that was down to loads, 'late delivery of aircraft' or another reason. I'd have expected that to be one of the flights that does the best, but I've no other info. To be honest, given the short notice of the launch I wouldn't expect the loads to be anything other than dire at the moment.

Has one of the planes gone tech? BHD-Leeds, East Midlands and Glasgow all cancelled today.

willy wombat 16th November 2022 14:44

Sorry, getting my BHDs and BFSs mixed up!

BA318 17th November 2022 13:04

Another bad day of cancelations.
BHD- Leeds, Birmingham, Southampton, Newcastle
NCL- LHR

What were the cancellations for? EIR had some from BHD this morning too and some flights left late - fog?

According to a plane spotting site
Last night's MAN -BHD went to BFS after 2300
did a few circuits before landing
Suggestions of landing gear stuff but nothing official

Just like the old days !!;

Three aircraft down today by the look of it.

CY landed 16:37 Amsterdam on 16th not moved since
TB landed 22:33 Amsterdam on 16 not moved since
BA landed 00:12 Belfast Aldergrove early hours of 17th and appears not to have moved
OE - only started on the BHX-AMS due out 10:30 but left 11:26 just got back from BHD a bit late

Quite incredible really but on the bright side they operated 07:00 BHX-BHD on time compared to EI Regional who cancelled their first two flights and first BHX-BHD departed 16:07 :hmm:

According to Flightradar 24 today isn't looking much better either:
6 out of 14 departures from BHD cancelled
1 out of 3 from NQY cancelled
2 out of 2 from NCL cancelled

plus obviously the return flight of those. If people are claiming compensation there is no way they can be making money at the moment and it must be costing a fortune.

cavokblues 18th November 2022 11:25

As reported on the Southampton thread, flybe have been awarded slots from Southampton - Orly and also Birmingham - Orly

Flightrider 18th November 2022 12:08

Led to believe they didn't get a single slot at Paris Orly though, so it's not going to get far without them.

NIREP reader 18th November 2022 12:21

My wife booked a flight to go from SOU to BHD for next Friday. After booking the times were changed but the same day. This happened 3 times then followed by a cancellation notice. Refund takes up to 90 days, so she’s has tried to speak with them 3 times on the phone but gave up after 1 hour 8 minutes in the queue. She’s has now booked with another airline for the same day.

Asturias56 18th November 2022 14:44

" She’s has now booked with another airline for the same day."

And no doubt wil never book with them again - and tell all her friends and family

Fairdealfrank 18th November 2022 21:40

Poimtless going up against the likes of BA and KL at Heathrow (AMS, BHD, and NCL). Business and regular pax may be collecting points and miles on the Executive Club, Flying Blue, etc., and be reluctant to change.

Maybe routes with no competition would be better, BUT it's no good if nobody knows about them. Is it not necessary to advertise and promote these routes ruthlessly? This is particularly important on LHR routes as "the connections to the world" angle can be used as well.

jensdad 18th November 2022 22:03

I'm lost for words. And also saddened, as I never went along with the 'flymaybe' tag that was unfairly applied to flybe mk1.
I hate to say this as people's livelihoods are at stake, but this company does not deserve to survive.

Asturias56 19th November 2022 08:27

" BUT it's no good if nobody knows about them. Is it not necessary to advertise and promote these routes ruthlessly"

Correct - but if you then cancel them you might as well just not bother -as with Jensdad I find this incredibly depressing :(
